IGTWCC VII FINALS PREVIEW

IGTWCC CUP FINAL

This seasons Cup Final is between Japan's no.1 rated team Grampus and 5 times WCC Cup and 4 times WCC Cup Masters legends the Frodsham Koala Bears. It is the Japanese teams 1st time in the IGTWCC and they should be congratulated at navigating their way to the final, an awesome effort.

Mikemike778's team will be fairly confident entering the final, even though Grampus has home advantage, as both teams fought it out during the group rounds and the Frodsham Koala Bears were victorious twice. However the Georgia giants have never won the IGTWCC finishing 3rd in S10, and they will be hoping to get the monkey off their back, and a win will see them also have another assault on the WCC Masters.

In the 3rd place play-off we see 1st time IGTWCC team the Golden Company taking on double IGTWCC Cup champions Woodward Chile at home.

IGTWCC PLATE FINAL

In another 1st, we see Ritch Pitcherello's Louder taking on IGTWCC regular, Changwon Pumas in the Plate Final. BigFella's Pumas are no strangers to the IGTWCC Finals series, and this will be his 2nd Plate Trophy, and which colour will it be, we will have to wait and see.

Again both teams clashed in the group rounds, with the Italian team winning both by the narrowest of margins, so the Final is set to be a ripper.

In the 3rd place play-off Stuckeley RFC will host USA, and new IGTWCC team Tri-States RFC. Stuckeley will be hoping for a win and getting some IGTWCC silverware at last, after missing out a couple of times in his 1st two IGTWCC seasons.

IGTWCC BOWL FINAL

Creamycurry's Hammer & Sickle will be hoping to finally take the Bowl crown, when they take on Englands Oldham Knights RFC in the Bowl Final. In what appears to be a re-occurring theme this season, the 2 teams have already squared up in the group rounds, with the Russian team taking the ascendency, however Sadiq's Knights will be looking for some revenge.....and it will be "Game On" tomorrow night.

In the 3rd place play-off, IGTWCC regular Bob's Bruisers will host Netherland's Last Weeks Team. This is rumoured to be Marifka's last IGTWCC outing, so she will be keen to finish on top.

IGTWCC SHIELD FINAL

Ivory Coast's Rodney Rifles have also made a Final in their 1st IGTWCC when they take on Zimbabwe team Bloody XV. Duncandisorderly will be hoping his team do not live up to their name when they come up against the Rifles, in what is sure to be a bloodbath.

Highlandbill's Badenoch Banshees will be hoping to add to their IGTWCC trophy cabinet when they take on Blood & Mud in the 3rd place play-off. The Scottish team, who were the recipients of last season's coveted Laboroise Award, play to win, and this will be one of the games of the finals.

IGTWCC VASE FINAL

In this, the 1st Vase Final after the expansion of the comp, Negative's Delta take on the English team Camelot Knights. Both teams have finished well in the Finals before, but never taken out the major trophies, so gloves will be off for glory in this fixture.

New IGTWCC team Earth will take on 1st time IGTWCC team San Fernado Vipers in the 3rd place play-off. We are delighted to see both teams progress so far in the comp, and hope they come back to join us next season.

IGTWCC PLAQUE FINAL

In the new Plaque Final we see an all Hong Kong clash between Swannie's Tigers Rugby Club and Terminators M16 Steelers. This will also be a great clash I feel, with trophies and HK pride being on offer. Swannie boys will remember the group rounds, where the Steelers took the honours and I feel sure that his team will not be taking any prisoners.

In the 3rd place play-off Aussie team Taidor's Blues will be hoping that 3rd time works a charm, and they can finish a IGTWCC season with a medal. Beardface's Finchampstead Villains unfortunately stand in their
way, and will be looking to end their season nicely too......so watch this space.

We now have 3 levels of Wooden Spoon Finals, to enable some reasonable competition for teams that do not qualify and progress onto the Major Trophies Finals, and they finals are as follows.

GOLD WOODEN SPOON FINAL
Shanghai All Reds v San Mò Rugby

3rd Place Play-Off
Cricklade Cheetahs v Hallamshire RUFC

SILVER WOODEN SPOON FINAL
Knights XV v Killarney RFC

3rd Place Play-Off
Super Nashwan v Soweto Titans

BRONZE WOODEN SPOON FINAL
Magic Level 21 v Pagliacci

3rd Place Play-Off
Treviso v jonny2hats

Good luck to all teams and thanks to everyone for making another fantastic IGTWCC Season.
